Semua artikel yang dikirimkan ke Jurnal Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, dan Seni (JECA) akan melalui proses peer review secara single-blind, di mana reviewer mengetahui identitas penulis, tetapi penulis tidak mengetahui identitas reviewer.

Tahapan proses peer review adalah sebagai berikut:

  1. Pemeriksaan Awal oleh Editor
    Editor akan memeriksa apakah naskah sesuai dengan fokus dan ruang lingkup jurnal, serta memeriksa kelengkapan dan format penulisan. Naskah yang tidak sesuai akan ditolak atau dikembalikan kepada penulis.

  2. Pemeriksaan Plagiarisme
    Naskah akan diperiksa menggunakan perangkat lunak antiplagiarisme seperti Turnitin atau iThenticate. Batas toleransi kemiripan maksimal adalah 20%.

  3. Proses Review oleh Mitra Bestari
    Naskah yang lolos seleksi awal akan dikirimkan kepada minimal dua orang reviewer independen untuk dinilai. Reviewer akan mengevaluasi orisinalitas, kontribusi ilmiah, metodologi, kejelasan, dan relevansi topik.

  4. Keputusan Editor
    Berdasarkan masukan dari reviewer, editor akan memutuskan:

    • Diterima tanpa revisi

    • Diterima dengan revisi minor

    • Direvisi besar dan dikirim ulang

    • Ditolak

Proses review biasanya memakan waktu antara 4 hingga 8 minggu, tergantung pada kecepatan tanggapan reviewer dan perbaikan dari penulis.

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Education, Culture, and Art (JECA) undergo a single-blind peer review process, in which reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities, but authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.

The peer review process includes the following steps:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
    The editorial team checks whether the manuscript fits the journal’s focus and scope, and reviews formatting and submission completeness. Manuscripts that do not meet these standards will be rejected or returned to the author.

  2. Plagiarism Screening
    Manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate, with a maximum similarity tolerance of 20%.

  3. Review Process by Peer Reviewers
    Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, scholarly contribution, methodology, clarity, and topic relevance.

  4. Editorial Decision
    Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editor will decide to:

    • Accept without revision

    • Accept with minor revisions

    • Request major revisions and resubmission

    • Reject

The review process typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the author’s revision timeline.
